Waterfront luxury at the edge of wilderness. Architectully designed as a private lodge, this is the perfect place to launch your adventures or business in Barkley Sound. Known for it’s rugged beauty, world class salmon fishing, kayaking in the Broken Islands, Scuba diving and the internationally renowned West Coast Trail, the historic village of Bamfield is a jewel on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. At the center of this lodge is a masterpiece of carpentry, a circular stairway constructed of selected edge grain yellow cedar and amazon cherry. Gathering around the river rock fireplace in the great room, the sitting bar in the kitchen or the hot tub, is the perfect way to end the day, relaxing and telling tales of the day’s adventures. The kitchen with its richly stained cherry cabinets, corian counters, heated floor and built in appliances is where the adventures begin and end. 3 guest rooms are located upstairs, with large master and office/den on the main. The lower level has a laundry and mudroom with a shower. The undeveloped basement is framed and roughed in for 3 guest rooms with ensuites or a separate suite. All furnishings except for artwork and personal items are included. 2 hotwater tanks and 400 amp service round out this solid home. Brady’s Beach is great place to watch the sunset, and the famous boardwalk of Bamfield Harbour are a short walk away. The Bamfield Marine Sciences Center is located across the harbour, is home to researchers from 5 universities. The 4 yr old, 18×48 dock with aluminum ramp has plenty of moorage . ”The Wall”, a fishing spot where many trophy size Chinook salmon have been caught, is within sight of the lodge.
