Musik im Fernsehen - Höhepunkte Sonntag, 12. Juni 2011
Klassik vormittags und Schlagermusik am Abend - das sind die Schwerpunkte des TV-Musikangebotes am 12. Juni 2011.
Klassik mit Swjatoslaw Richter, Anne-Sophie Mutter und Jonas KaufmannDer Musiktag im TV beginnt für alle Klassikfreunde schon recht früh. In ARTE spielt der weltberühmte Pianist Swjatoslaw Richter ab 9:30 Uhr Werke von Mozart und Chopin. Zunächst steht Mozarts Sonate in a-Moll in einer Aufnahme aus dem Jahr 1989 auf dem Programm. Im zweiten Teil interpretiert Richter die zwölf Etüden von Frederic Chopin. Drei Sinfonien von Robert Schumann bringt 3sat ab 10:05 Uhr. Alle drei Aufnahmen haben das Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich unter David Zinmann als ausführende Interpreten. Schumann litt schon an Angstzuständen, Schlaflosigkeit und Depressionen, als er die 2. Sinfonie C-Dur op. 61 komponierte. Dieses Werk wird um 10:05 Uhr gebracht, anschließend um 10:40 Uhr die dritte in Es-Dur op. 97 und zum Abschluss um 11:15 Uhr erklingt die vierte Sinfonie von Robert Schumann. Weitere Klassik-Highlights sind ein Konzert mit Anne-Sophie Mutter auf Bayern-Alpha um 11:00 Uhr. Auf dem Programm stehen die Sonaten für Violine und Klavier von W. A. Mozart. Den Klassikvormittag beschließt um 12:45 Uhr in Bayern 3 Jonas Kaufmann, der deutsche Opernarien interpretiert.
Country-Musik und Udo Jürgens live auf Goldstar-TVDie einzige regelmäßige Sendung mit Country-Musik ist der Country-Club auf Goldstar-TV, der am 12. Juni um 14:00 Uhr am Programm steht. Neue und ältere Country-Clips werden eine Stunde lang gespielt. Ebenfalls auf Goldstar-TV gibt es um 19 Uhr und in der Nacht auf Montag um 2:00 Uhr ein Goldstar-Spezial, welches Udo Jürgens gewidmet ist. Zu sehen ist ein Konzert anlässlich seiner Jubiläumstournee „Mit 66 Jahren ...“. Über 450.000 Zuschauer bei 107 Konzerten - ein neuer Zuschauerrekord. Udo Jürgens singt live nahezu alle großen Hits wie „Mercie Cherie“, „Ich War Noch niemals In New York“ und „Griechischer Wein“.
Helene Fischer live und Roland Kaiser im ExklusivinterviewGute-Laune TV zeigt um 20 Uhr ein Konzert mit Helene Fischer . Im NDR und in Radio Bremen steht Roland Kaiser im Mittelpunkt eines „Wunschkonzert-Spezial“. Nach seiner lebensgefährlichen Lungentransplantation gibt Roland Kaiser Lutz Ackermann das einzige große Interview, in dem er über sein Leben und seine Krankheit spricht. Ebenso werden Titel aus seiner neuen Produktion „Alles Ist Möglich“ präsentiert. Natürlich gibt es auch die großen Hits von Roland Kaiser zu hören sowie weitere Kollegen, die ihm wichtig sind. Dieses Exklusiv-Interview bzw. Portrait startet um 20:15 Uhr. Eine Wiederholung gibt es am Pfingstmontag, den 13.6.2011, um 7:10 Uhr.

But this isn't really a blog about banjos, except in the metaphorical sense of interesting sounds riding across a valley from one porch to another. Click on any photo to enlarge. All text and photos: © 2009-2011 Banjo52 The blog titled Robert Frost’s Banjo got me wandering around on YouTube, starting with Taj Mahal and Dave von Ronk, which led to Mississippi John Hurt, which led to young Christine Pizzuti at I Play Banjo Now, and that connected to Gillian Welch’s YouTube version of “Make Me a Pallet.” She in turn credited Doc Watson as her link to the song. I’ve liked “Make Me a Pallet” since I first heard Hurt’s rendition in the sixties, but the fact that I enthusiastically like all four of these versions makes me wonder if I should . . . worship it. I wonder too if Sarah Palin’s bus tour will . . . LISTEN . . . to all available versions of whatever. Taj Mahal (Harlem), Dave von Ronk (Brooklyn), and Christine Pizzuti (New Palz) are New Yorkers, but variety is the theme here, if I have one. Taj Mahal majored in animal husbandry at U. Mass. There is a John Hurt museum in Mississippi (which I learned at Robert Frost’s Banjo, located in Idaho). Doc Watson’s place sits somewhere in the mountains of western North Carolina, and Gillian Welch is a Californian whose beginnings included membership in a goth band. She performs with her partner, David Rawlings of Rhode Island, who does things on the guitar that strike me as original and terrific.

I probably agree--Hurt's voice is irrestible, his guitar work is fascinating, and the lyrics show how powerful simple lyrics can be, not to mention the "turn" in the "story," in which the dangers keep increasing, even as the speaker is, or pretends to be, in a sort of begging posture.
