Actress Vanessa Minnillo celebrated her upcoming wedding to singer Nick Lachey with a bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas. The party began at Lavo at the Palazzo with dinner, followed by dancing at the upstairs boutique nightclub. After a round of shots, shots, shots and the Italian feast, the bride-to-be and her friends took over a VIP table, where they danced to the sounds of DJ Politik.
The future Mrs. Lachey jumped into the DJ booth, taking the mic and telling the crowd, “I’m about to get married. I’m about to get a ball and chain … but not yet, and tonight’s my bachelorette party!” She invited the first person who came to her table and showed an ID proving that his or her birthday was Thursday, Friday or Saturday could come join her table -- an offer she made good when a partygoer celebrating his birthday approached Vanessa’s table with his girlfriend. Minnillo ain’t no Bridezilla.
One memorable event during the evening: A midget impersonating Nick serenaded the former MTV VJ! The pint-sized performer sang a song from his former boy band 98 Degrees while removing his shirt. Minnillo, donning the traditional bachelorette sash and crown, was a good sport, continuing her feel-good attitude.
The celebration continued the next day at Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan as the group partied in a cabana at the roof deck pool. The gracious hostess found a bachelor celebrating his own upcoming wedding and invited the groom and his friends to take a dip in her cabana’s infinity Jacuzzi.
Minnillo was treated to a blue and white cake topped with a sugar ring from Gimme Some Sugar as she danced around with her friends and posed for photographs, showing off her fabulous figure and makeup from Violet Hour Hair | Nails | Beauty at the Cosmopolitan.
The couple is keeping their wedding date a secret, but a special on the nuptials will air on TLC a few weeks after the celebration.

Although Nick Lachey wasn’t allowed anywhere near his bride-to-be, Vanessa Minnillo’s Las Vegas bachelorette party, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t there — Minnillo and her friends were serenaded by a Nick Lachey impersonator. The only difference? The impersonator may have lacked Lachey’s silky smooth vocals and he was also a little person, according to Us magazine.
But the presence of her hubby’s mini double didn’t prevent Minnillo, 30, from letting loose before she heads down the aisle.
But Minnillo and her guests’ weekend was just getting started after their night out — the group partied poolside while the blushing bachelorette donned a sash and crown at The Cosmopolitan’s rooftop cabana.
Although the pair haven’t announced their wedding date, with a wedding shower and bachelorette party already come and gone, the paps better get to sleuthing because we have a feeling it’s going down pretty soon.
