Aircraft Cabin Air Quality

Turbine and Piston Engine Degradation

Aircraft and helicopter operators know the costly and damaging effects that dust, dirt and contaminants can have on their engines – power loss, component wear, increased engine temperature and excessive maintenance costs. Donaldson filters protect rotorcraft and general aviation engines from these harmful particles. Donaldson's Certified Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) systems and Engine Air Particle Separators (EAPS) for rotorcraft applications eliminate 95-99 percent of Foreign Object Debris (FOD), dirt and other contaminants that reduce engine performance and damage critical components. Donaldson filters offer better airflow, better horsepower and superior efficiency (98.5 percent, or better) for general aviation operators.

Hydraulic System Reliability

Sophisticated hydraulic systems aboard aircraft need protection from contamination. Abrasive particles – such as dust, dirt, sand and fibers - enter hydraulic systems and, if unfiltered, can severely damage sensitive components like pumps, valves and motors. Donaldson filters prevent the need for premature maintenance and overhaul of high-pressure, return and case-drain hydraulic systems. Superior operator comfort

The newly created Dash 9 cabin was conceived for far more space, a wider field of view and operator comfort.

The Dash 9 range has a brand new monitor with five.7-inch wide colour LCD screen that enables the operator to simply and efficiently control the machine. The boom kick-out and bucket position might be adjusted via switches overhead whilst the adjustment settings may be monitored from the cab. An integrated load weight program, self-diagnostics, a color rear-view camera, maintenance check lists and start-up machine security can all be viewed via the in-cab monitor, as well as error messages and transmission fault history, that are recorded and accessible through the system. The cab also characteristics an advanced audio system with AM/FM stereo, MP3 interface and USB input, plus remotely situated controls.

The front windshield is rounded and 17 percent wider than its predecessor, giving operators plenty of visibility. Roller-style sun screens on the front window and rear window permit the operator to minimize glare and further enhance visibility.

In addition, the Dash 9 cab’s totally automatic climate control system features 11 air vents and increased cooling and heating capacity. The defroster vents situated on the front and rear windows plus a PTC (electric pre-heater) make working in cold weather much more hospitable. Optional heated side mirrors feature built-in hot wires for quick defrosting.

Tier III compliant engines

The Cummins QSL electronic control engine combines full authority electronic controls with reliable efficiency. The high pressure frequent rail system and advanced in-cylinder combustion technologies results in increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption. And the QSL makes use of advanced electronics controls to meet the emission standards

The Dash 9 wheel loaders have a fully automatic transmission designed for maximum durability, minimum power loss, improved travel speed and low noise. The clutch control has been improved and shifting shock has been minimised in the course of travel, both contributing to a smoother ride.

Dash 9 wheel loaders are developed to allow the operator to customise the machine’s engine power, automatic transmission shift timing and clutch cut-off activation based on the job condition and private operator preference ¡§C versatility that contributes to improved productivity, enhanced operator comfort and reduced fuel consumption. In addition, if equipped with the optional ride control method, the operator has the alternative to turn the system on or off with an overhead switch. This method has a shock-absorbing accumulator that cushions the boom, improves operator comfort and reduces material loss.
